
David J. Awoleke
David J. Awoleke is an associate in the Tampa, Florida, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He represents employers in a broad range of workplace law matters, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower allegations, wage and hour violations, leave entitlement disputes, and employment contract issues. David advocates for clients before federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and in arbitration, with a focus on practical, business-oriented solutions.
In addition to his litigation practice, David regularly advises employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. He partners with clients to develop effective workplace policies, draft employment agreements, and proactively address issues that could give rise to liability.
Before concentrating his practice on labor and employment law, David gained significant experience handling complex commercial litigation. His background includes representing clients in high-stakes business disputes, breach of contract and fraud actions, business torts, First Amendment matters, and putative class actions in the insurance and financial services industries. He also has experience with high-exposure insurance coverage litigation involving homeowners, commercial property, and general liability policies, including bad faith claims.
David’s diverse litigation background and collaborative approach to counseling allow him to offer clients informed, strategic guidance tailored to their business needs.
