Emma C. Cunningham
Emma Cunningham is an associate in the Orange County, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Emma’s practice centers on a thoughtful, strategic approach to litigation, delivering results aligned with employers’ business goals while mitigating risk.
Emma’s passion to defend employers derives from the relationships of trust and confidence she looks to build with every case, thereby becoming part of the team. She appreciates that the lawyer-client relationship extends beyond the courtroom no matter the type of claim—discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, or employment termination. Emma works collaboratively with employers to develop practical, business-minded solutions to workplace disputes developed through communication, transparency and a shared commitment to success.
Before joining Jackson Lewis, Emma practiced at a top 5 AmLaw 100 firm, where she cut her teeth handling complex litigation matters, including class actions, from start to finish. Emma also previously externed for the Honorable Virginia A. Phillips, District Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
While in law school, Emma served as the editor-in-chief of one of USC Gould’s honors journals, the Southern California Review of Law and Social Justice, which published her note surveying challenges to arbitration agreements in the Ninth Circuit.
