Hunter C. Cyran

Hunter C. Cyran is an associate in the Cleveland, Ohio, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He supports employers across a broad range of workplace matters, including litigation, advice and counsel, labor relations, and employee benefits. His practice includes assisting with employment-related disputes involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, First Amendment issues, wage and hour, and wrongful termination claims. 

Hunter has meaningful experience in traditional labor matters, including assisting with collective bargaining negotiations and second chairing multiple labor arbitrations involving discharge grievances and contract interpretation. He has also supported unfair labor practice charges arising out of collective bargaining disputes, including matters connected to labor strikes. His labor experience spans collective bargaining support, grievance arbitrations, and unfair labor practice proceedings. 

In addition to his labor practice, Hunter supports all phases of employment and benefits litigation. His experience includes employee benefits matters involving withdrawal liability and serving as second chair at a preliminary injunction hearing that resulted in a favorable outcome for the client, with the injunction denied. 

Hunter has supported clients across a wide range of industries in litigation, labor law, employee benefits, and advice and counsel matters. His industry experience includes manufacturing (including glass, chemical, and food manufacturing), healthcare (including hospitals and nursing homes), food and beverage, building and construction, transportation (including distribution, trucking, and shipping), and public sector entities, including municipal clients and police departments. 

Hunter regularly drafts pleadings and motions, prepares written discovery and responses, manages document review, and assists with depositions, mediations, and trial preparation. He conducts legal research, prepares internal and client-facing memoranda, and collaborates closely with principals and of counsel on case strategies.
