Jessica Z. Wragg

Jessica Z. Wragg is of counsel in the Hartford, Connecticut, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Jessica is an experienced employment litigator with two decades of experience representing corporate clients in employment law and employee benefits matters.  

She was Practice Lead, Senior Employment Attorney at a major insurance carrier’s house counsel firm, providing her with a unique, in-house claims perspective alongside her skilled handling of EPLI claims for employers and D&O claims for companies and associations. Her experience spans Title VII, Section 1981, the FMLA, ADA, ERISA, FLSA, CFEPA, Fair Housing Act, and other federal and state laws, and she has secured multiple summary judgment victories and favorable resolutions in high-exposure cases.  She regularly created training materials and gave presentations and training for clients, employers, and claims adjusters on a variety of EPL topics.

Jessica counsels and advises employers on all aspects of the employment relationship. She works with clients to manage risks and formulate strategies to avoid litigation and to comply with regulatory obligations. Jessica regularly represents employers in mediations, arbitrations, and in court, and she defends employers before state and federal courts and administrative agencies such as the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and federal and state Departments of Labor. She conducts workplace investigations as well.

Jessica has represented individuals, sole proprietors, small family-owned businesses, closely held and public businesses, non-profit organizations, independent schools, and start-ups. She has worked with medical offices and healthcare companies, nursing and long-term care facilities, insurance agencies, manufacturing and construction businesses, retail and e-commerce companies, and hotels and restaurants.
