Kaha Kvachatadze
Kaha Kvachatadze is a principal in the White Plains office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Recognized for his thoughtful, individualized approach to immigration matters, Kaha strikes an often-delicate balance between business objectives with the unique needs of global talent to drive positive and pioneering outcomes.
Kaha Kvachatadze brings over two decades of experience in immigration law, advising multinational corporations as both in-house and outside counsel. For more than 18 years, Kaha served as Senior Corporate Counsel at Pfizer, where he led the company’s in-house global immigration function. In that role, he advised senior leadership and collaborated with HR, Talent Acquisition, Global Mobility, and Employment Law teams to implement strategic, efficient, and compliant immigration solutions and deliver timely, cost-effective, and strategic immigration support. His expertise includes advising stakeholders on immigration strategy, building strong partnerships across business units and legal practice areas, and developing and implementing corporate immigration compliance policies across the hiring lifecycle. Kaha also partnered with Pfizer’s Global Security team on international travel advisories and enterprise-wide immigration communications.
Kaha has deep experience developing corporate immigration strategies, overseeing I-9/E-Verify compliance, and managing immigration matters throughout the employee lifecycle. He also successfully managed immigration-related integration and separation efforts in large-scale mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Kaha brings a unique in-house perspective on DOJ site inspections and investigations, having successfully managed these matters in collaboration with Jackson Lewis. He approaches each immigration matter on a case-by-case basis, prioritizing both employer and employee needs to develop tailored, effective solutions.
Prior to Pfizer, Kaha worked as an Associate Attorney at an AmLaw100 law firm. He holds a degree in international law from Tbilisi State University (Georgia), and as such has practiced international law at the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and obtained invaluable experience as a Legal Officer at the United Nationals Development Program (UNDP).
