Kris’ practice focuses on preventive advice and counseling on business and workplace matters, as well as defending employers and businesses in a range of labor and employment issues, including wage and hour individual and class actions, representative actions under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), and claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination.
Kris’ dual experience in litigation and transactional matters enables him to provide employers with strategic legal guidance and proactively minimize potential future liability through thoughtful counseling and risk management. His holistic and integrated approach to workplace issues proves particularly valuable when advising clients operating in dynamic and highly regulated industries.
Kris’ past experience in corporate transactions and entertainment law gave him the opportunity to develop a practical understanding of business operations and where legal risks often arise, especially in companies with employees in California. He has worked with clients on legal guild-related labor and employment matters involving SAG, WGA, and other unions, as well as issues involving intellectual property and technology. Kris leverages this insight to support the firm’s Entertainment and Media Group, collaborating with employers to develop solutions to labor and workplace law issues unique to the Entertainment industry.
