Kristopher Peters is an associate in the White Plains, New York, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Kris practices U.S. immigration law, with comprehensive experience across virtually all nonimmigrant and immigrant visa programs in the employment-based context.

His practice encompasses both hands-on preparation and advocacy for individual visa matters and broader counseling for corporate clients on immigration program planning, policy development, and day-to-day compliance. He advises employers of all sizes on preventative compliance strategies and best practices for designing effective, tailored visa sponsorship programs for their workforces. His practice spans a diverse range of industries, including technology (such as virtual reality, data science, and digital transformation), life sciences, consumer goods, e-commerce, financial services, gaming, and manufacturing.

Kris has particular expertise in securing approvals for O-1, EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, and EB-1C visas for founders, senior executives, scientists, and other accomplished professionals, and providing tailored, strategic counsel on the full spectrum of temporary (B, H, L, E, F, O, TN) and permanent residence (EB-1, 2, 3, PERM) visa program sponsorship.

He also has experience handling complex and sensitive immigration matters, such as inadmissibility waivers (I-601), visa reinstatement, federal litigation (mandamus actions), and certain forms of humanitarian relief. His clients benefit from a results-driven approach that integrates hands-on case management with proactive counsel on compliance, policy, and long-term immigration planning.
