Michael Tontillo
Michael Tontillo is an associate in the Cincinnati, Ohio, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. The cornerstone of Mike’s practice is collaborating with employers to craft practical solutions to workplace legal problems that achieve long-term business objectives without undue risk.
Having worked as a classroom teacher before transitioning into the law, Mike’s strength lies in his ability to distill complex legal concepts into clear, business-focused guidance, ensuring organizations grasp both the challenges they face and the rationale behind his recommendations. Mike counsels organizations on a variety of labor and employment issues, including wage and hour compliance, leave management, disability accommodation, mass layoffs, and employee benefits.
Mike vigilantly follows developments in workplace law to proactively address compliance concerns; however, if a conflict arises, Mike ardently defends organizations in federal and state court against claims involving discrimination, wage and hour disputes, and unfair labor practices.
Outside of the office, Mike is a fervent supporter of the Cincinnati Reds and a reluctant supporter of the Cincinnati Bengals. He spends his free time drinking craft beer, playing pub trivia, and beating his law school friends at online chess.
