
Michaela A. Utrup
Michaela A. Utrup is an associate in the Madison, Wisconsin, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She emphasizes understanding her clients’ businesses in order to provide practical legal advice and counsel.
Michaela provides practical and legal advice to clients on a variety of employment matters with a focus on the Family and Medical Leave Act, Title VII, and the Americans with Disabilities Act matters. Michaela also helps clients of all sizes create, revise, and implement workplace policies and procedures, including employee handbooks.
In addition to her advice and counseling practice, Michaela defends employers of all sizes in federal court, Wisconsin state court, and before administrative agencies. She has helped clients obtain positive results in litigation matters involving wage and disputes; discrimination, harassment, and retaliation; and other contractual disagreements.
While attending Marquette University Law School, Michaela worked as a law clerk for Milwaukee Public Schools in the Employee Rights Administration Department. She also served as the write-on editor for the Marquette Law Review and an academic tutor for first-year law students.
