My Kim Ong is an associate in the San Francisco, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on employee benefits. She represents and counsels plan sponsors, multiemployer plan trustees, fiduciaries, employers, and other stakeholders in complex litigation, regulatory proceedings, and counseling matters.

Kim has experience handling a broad range of disputes arising under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), including fiduciary breach class actions, benefits litigation, and statutory enforcement matters involving multiemployer plans. Her practice includes defending fiduciary breach claims relating to retirement plan investments, including excessive fee and stable value funds; actuarial equivalence challenges to pension benefit calculations; individual benefit claims; and disputes involving delinquent contributions and withdrawal liability. She assists clients at all stages of litigation, from pre-suit counseling and risk assessment through discovery, dispositive motion practice, trial, and appeal.

Beyond her litigation practice, Kim advises employers, plan sponsors, and fiduciaries on employee benefit plan design and administration, fiduciary governance, and the management of benefit claims and appeals. Drawing on her litigation experience, Kim helps employers proactively manage risk and navigate complex ERISA challenges.

Kim earned her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she was named Moot Court Advocate of the Year, served as Technical Editor of the University of San Francisco Law Review, and was Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association.
