Ryan B. Weiss is an associate in the Miami, Florida, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Ryan approaches employment litigation with a practical, client-focused perspective informed by an ability to see disputes through the eyes of employees, regulators, and decision-makers alike. Recognizing that employment disputes often feel personal for clients, he focuses on clear communication, practical guidance, and maintaining business stability.

Ryan’s ability to think several steps ahead allows him to proactively address risk and guide employers toward favorable resolutions. He focuses his practice on single plaintiff employment litigation and employer counseling involving Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FCRA, and FLSA. Ryan also has significant experience with restrictive covenant matters, including the enforcement and defense of non-compete, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements. His work also includes advising on disability and leave issues, arbitration matters, Florida common-law employment claims, and employment and severance agreements.

Before joining Jackson Lewis, Ryan practiced at one of Florida’s largest full-service litigation firms, focusing on employment law, commercial litigation, and professional negligence defense.

During law school, Ryan served as a member of a tenant’s rights clinic, representing low-income tenants in litigation and administrative proceedings, often in matters involving threatened eviction and housing insecurity. He also studied international law through a joint academic program offered by Tulane Law School and the University of Amsterdam, gaining exposure to comparative legal frameworks and transnational issues.
