Topics

  • Let’s Catch Up: An Update on the Latest Cases and Trends in the ADA, FMLA and Related Laws
It has been a while since we have been together! As we catch up, we will cover the latest cases and trends in the ADA, FMLA and related laws, including the latest accommodation challenges and leave law headaches. This past year has seen a flurry of cases addressing military leave, parental leave, pregnancy, light duty and more. In addition, we will address the lasting effect the pandemic may have on accommodation issues.
  • Be Well: Safely Addressing Employee Wellness at Work
Employee wellness has risen to the forefront in recent years. Whether it is designed to keep the workplace safe from a new virus, to prevent burnout and dissatisfaction or to combat the mental health crisis surrounding us, well-intentioned wellness efforts are not without legal risk. We will cover the legal do’s and don’t’s on disease prevention, screening and testing, incentives for wellness initiatives, yoga, exercise and physical wellness at work, and mental health initiatives. Join us for this practical discussion on ways to safely improve employee wellness in the workplace while preserving your own sanity.
  • Don’t Go Home Yet! The Challenge of Getting (and Keeping) Employees in the Workplace and Managing those who Remain Remote
Remote work, hybrid work, workplace flexibility. In person work now feels like a taboo concept. “I want to work at home (in my pajamas)!” “You allowed me to do it for two years, why not now?!” Does this sound like an employee you know? How do you respond? Have we lost all control of where our employees work? In this session we will discuss the things you should consider as you respond to such requests – as well as the legal challenges and pitfalls that employers must navigate when they allow remote work.

The firm is an accredited provider of CLE in California, Colorado, Illinois, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania and Texas. We are also accredited providers of HRCI and SHRM.
