Jackson Lewis Honored with Inaugural Wellbeing Excellence Award

NEW YORK (Oct. 2, 2026) — Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers (LCL) is bestowing upon the firm its inaugural Legal Employer Wellbeing Excellence Award. Jackson Lewis is the recipient in the Private Sector category and will be recognized during LCL’s James A. Brink Annual Dinner on Oct. 1.

The Legal Employer Wellbeing Excellence Award recognizes legal employers and leaders within the Massachusetts legal community who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to advancing employee wellbeing, psychological safety and a healthy workplace culture within their organizations. The award for the Private Sector is given to organizations that have embedded wellbeing into organizational values and demonstrated measurable or sustained positive impact on employees, including increased use of mental health resources and recovery support.

“Jackson Lewis is proud to welcome and retain legal professionals across all functions who are eager to make legal work more sustainable, meaningful and rewarding,” said Well-Being Director Gavin Alexander. “We’re thrilled to have been recognized for our well-being initiatives, and we are looking forward to continuing to tackle mental health issues, alcohol and substance use challenges, and other elements of well-being in law in strategic, meaningful and impactful ways. Jackson Lewis thanks LCL for this incredible honor and hopes to live up to this goal of Wellbeing Excellence for many years to come.”

Jackson Lewis has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to advancing employee well-being, psychological safety and a healthy workplace culture through a range of firmwide initiatives, including video messages from firm leaders describing their own well-being challenges and the resources they use to maintain their mental and physical health, plenary-level trainings on well-being topics at firm summits and principal meetings, a Mental Health First Aid certification program, policies and training on recognizing and navigating signs of impairment, and annual participation in Well-Being Week in Law, which features a curated series of activities and exercises across the firm.

“Well-being is fundamental to the business and culture at Jackson Lewis, and our ability to serve our clients requires understanding leadership and sustained support for our people,” said Firm Chair Kevin Lauri. “We were one of the earliest signatories to the American Bar Association’s Well-Being Pledge, and we are honored to receive this inaugural recognition from LCL and excited to continue to promote well-being efforts across the firm to create a workplace where every member of our community can thrive.”

LCL is the Massachusetts lawyer assistance program, providing free and confidential services to members of the legal community. Its work supports well-being and resilience in the legal community, including assistance related to mental health substance use, career concerns and law office management.
