MILWAUKEE, WI (May 23, 2022) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Daniel D. Barker has been elevated to managing principal of the firm’s Milwaukee and Madison, Wis. offices. Daniel succeeds Mark P. Tilkins, who is relocating to the firm’s Dallas office, where he will be a key component of Jackson Lewis’ Labor Relations group’s ongoing strategic plan.
“Daniel is highly regarded in several core areas, including traditional labor matters, employment discrimination and harassment, and complex class actions,” said Firm Chair Kevin G. Lauri. “He is universally respected by his peers and has positioned himself as an excellent resource for clients. We congratulate Daniel on his new role and thank Mark for the time and energy he has put in to strengthen our capabilities in Wisconsin.”
Daniel represents employers in all labor and employment law matters. He has successfully defended clients in discrimination claims before courts and administrative agencies, as well as worked with employers to find creative and cost-effective solutions to their most difficult labor and employment-related legal challenges. Daniel focuses a significant amount of his practice on guiding employers through union-related challenges and all traditional labor matters, including organizing campaigns, collective bargaining, arbitrations, strikes and cases before the National Labor Relations Board.
“It’s an honor to take the helm in Milwaukee and Madison, and I look forward to leading our exceptional teams in both offices,” said Daniel. “Mark has done an excellent job growing Jackson Lewis’ footprint in Wisconsin and I look forward to building upon his efforts as we continue to deliver exceptional service to our clients.”
Daniel earned his J.D. and B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
