NEW YORK, NY (November 13, 2023) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce it has been honored with the “Tipping the Scales” award from the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance. Jackson Lewis was one of 78 law firms honored at the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance’s Annual Conference in Washington D.C., for having at least 50 percent women in its 2023 new partner class. This is the fourth consecutive time the firm has won the award since its inception in 2019.
"We are honored to once again be recognized as a ‘Tipping the Scales’ firm,” said Firm Managing Principal Samantha N. Hoffman. “Jackson Lewis is committed to fostering a culture that embodies and inspires diversity, equity and inclusion. We are proud of the strides we have made toward achieving firm equity by ensuring underrepresented groups are well represented in our principal population. This award is a reminder of our progress, and we will continue to build upon this achievement.”
The Diversity & Flexibility Alliance also released its 2023 New Partner Report, which is an annual compilation and examination of data from more than 200 of the nation’s largest and top-grossing law firms. Launched in 2012, it aims to uncover trends related to the gender distribution of attorneys promoted to partners in their U.S. offices.
Jackson Lewis is a “Leader” member of the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance, joining a community of industry leaders who are implementing innovative solutions to promote inclusive and flexible work cultures. As a dedicated member of the Alliance, the firm commits to developing equity systems and promoting inclusive work environments through enhanced initiatives. The Alliance partners with its members to implement organizational solutions and individual strategies that push diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives to the forefront and focus on integrating more women into leadership roles.
