ST. LOUIS, MO (April 27, 2026) — Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Joseph M. Wientge Jr. has joined the firm as a principal in its St. Louis office. He joins Jackson Lewis from Littler Mendelson, where he was a shareholder and served as co-chair of its Arbitration practice group. He has more than 20 years of experience representing employers in investigations, administrative proceedings, and state and federal litigation, with a nationally focused practice in employment arbitration.
“We’re excited to welcome Joe to our litigation team,” said Carolyn G. Burnette and Ana C. Shields, co-leaders of the firm’s Employment Litigation group. “Joe adds meaningful depth to our national litigation practice, particularly in employment arbitration. His experience advising employers on arbitration strategy and enforceability, combined with his work across investigations, litigation and appeals, will strengthen how we support clients nationwide.”
Joe focuses his practice on the strategy, drafting and enforceability of arbitration agreements and litigating arbitration issues at the trial and appellate levels, and he has successfully enforced arbitration agreements in trial and appellate courts. He works with clients through investigations and hearings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Missouri Commission on Human Rights, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Office for Civil Rights and boards of education across Missouri. Joe also has extensive experience resolving state and federal employment matters, including claims related to discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, family and medical leave, and breach of contract disputes.
In addition to his litigation and arbitration practice, Joe advises employers on day-to-day employment matters, including hiring, discipline, and termination procedures. He counsels clients on developing and revising employment policies, separation agreements and employment contracts, and conducts training and seminars on a range of employment and education-related topics. His work spans various industries, including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, automotive services, manufacturing, information technology and customer service.
“Joe’s arrival is a great addition to our St. Louis office,” said Jessica L. Liss, office managing principal. “His experience in employment arbitration and litigation, combined with his understanding of the local legal and business landscape, will be a valuable resource for our clients and our team.”
Joe earned his J.D. from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and his B.A.A. from Marquette University.
