Schloss Joins Jackson Lewis LLP in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA (September 14, 2010) – Jackson Lewis LLP (www.jacksonlewis.com), one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing workplace law firms, has announced that Leonora “Lenny” Schloss has joined the firm as a Partner in its Los Angeles office. Most recently, Ms. Schloss was head of the Los Angeles employment and labor group at Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold LLP.

A frequent speaker and published author on a number of employment related topics, Ms. Schloss specializes in a full range of employment law matters, including wage/hour, leave of absence, preventative measures, employment policies and agreements, auditing and training, and employment investigations. She has substantial experience litigating single plaintiff and class action discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage/hour cases in state and federal courts and agencies. She also represents employers in litigation stemming from employee non-competition agreements and trade secret misappropriation matters. In addition to her trial experience, Ms. Schloss has successfully handled several union arbitration hearings.

Ms. Schloss is admitted to practice law in California and Texas and before the U.S. Supreme Court and all district courts of California. In addition, she is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and is recognized in “Who’s Who of American Women.”

Ms. Schloss is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law, where she was a finalist in the Harlan Fiske Stone Moot Court Competition. She received her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from St. Louis University.
