Stephanie J. Peet Recognized as Professional Excellence Award Honoree

PHILADELPHIA, PA (June 15, 2023) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Stephanie J. Peet has been recognized as a Distinguished Leader by The Legal Intelligencer as part of their 2023 Professional Excellence Awards. This award program recognizes Pennsylvania law firms and lawyers who have made a significant, positive impact on the legal profession. The honorees were celebrated on June 14 at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel.

“Since joining the firm in 2010, Stephanie’s contributions to the firm and our clients have been invaluable,” said Firm Chair Kevin G. Lauri. “She is a talented attorney and leader who is continuing to make an impact on the legal profession. On behalf of the firm, we applaud Stephanie on this well-deserved recognition.”

Stephanie is the managing principal of the firm’s Philadelphia office. She regularly represents management in employment discrimination and wage and hour cases filed in both federal and state courts, as well as equal employment opportunity and labor relations matters pending before federal and state agencies. Stephanie regularly counsels and represents employers in a range of industries including technology, staffing and healthcare. 

Stephanie also counsels employers on various employee relations matters such as Family and Medical Leave Act compliance, reductions in force, wage and hour compliance, hiring, discharge and disciplinary practices, drafting and enforcing employment agreements, including non-compete agreements and restrictive covenants, and creating employee relations policies and procedures.

Stephanie provides training to clients and their employees on a wide variety of employment-related topics such as diversity, hiring, discipline and discharge, anti-harassment, Family and Medical Leave Act compliance, and wage and hour compliance. She is results-driven and employs a highly individualized and strategic approach to handling litigation with an emphasis on her clients’ business and legal objectives.

In a recent profile by The Legal Intelligencer, Stephanie was highlighted for cultivating the Philadelphia office’s diverse-attorney pipeline after participating in the PDLG Fellows Program, which employs a first-year, diverse-identifying law student as a summer associate. Stephanie’s DEI efforts were also noted, as she is a member of Jackson Lewis’ Women’s Interest Network, where she works with the firm’s attorneys and clients to increase diversity and inclusion efforts both internally and with clients. Stephanie earned her J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law and her B.S. from Franklin and Marshall College.
