Working Mother Honors Jackson Lewis as One of the "Best Law Firms for Women"

WHITE PLAINS, NY (July 16, 2019) Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to announce Working Mother has again designated the firm among their 2019 “Best Law Firms for Women,” a list that recognizes firms who utilize the best practices in recruiting, retaining, promoting and developing women lawyers. Jackson Lewis was among the 60 firms that earned spots on this year’s list.

“Jackson Lewis has always supported the advancement of women, and we believe the achievement of women within our firm has been a key to our growth and success,” said Firm Co-Chairs Kevin G. Lauri and William J. Anthony in a joint statement. “We are very proud of this recognition from Working Mother and consider it to be a direct result of the firm’s inclusive culture together with our commitment to fostering the promotion of women throughout every level of the firm.”

Jackson Lewis was selected by Working Mother based on key factors including the number of women in key leadership roles, support for re-entry mothers, relationships and mentoring programs, flexible work arrangements and paid parental leave.

“It’s heartening to see the progress women lawyers are making at firms committed to fully utilizing these attorneys’ abilities,” said Meredith Bodgas, editor-in-chief of Working Mother. “The war for talent is increasing incentives for law firms to invest in retaining women lawyers, which is why we’re seeing more women’s initiatives and parental-support groups. By highlighting what our top firms are doing, we hope others in the legal community will follow.”

Jackson Lewis was also recently certified as a “Gold Standard Firm” by the Women in Law Empowerment Forum for the eighth consecutive year and named among the “Best Law Firms for Women and Minority Attorneys” by Law360. The firm has a standing Diversity and Inclusion Committee divided into attorney resource groups, including a Women’s Interest Network, which addresses mentoring, business development, recruitment, and provides leadership opportunities for female and minority attorneys.
