“It is an honor to be elected vice president of the SDLRLA,” said Arcelia. “I have found my time working with the SDLRLA extremely rewarding and it has provided me with the opportunity to be a hands-on advocate on behalf of San Diego Latino/a/x legal community.”

She recently helped a client secure a full defense arbitration award in a disability discrimination case.

The mission of SDLRLA is to advance the cause of equality, empowerment and justice for Latino/a/x attorneys and the Latino/a/x community in San Diego County through service and advocacy. The organization’s attorneys dedicate themselves to promoting diversity on both the bench and bar. In addition, SDLRLA supports law students with mentorship programs and scholarships.
