Jackson Lewis Opens Office in Grand Rapids, Michigan

WHITE PLAINS, NY (January 23, 2013) – Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing workplace law firms, is pleased to announce the opening of an office in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Timothy J. Ryan and Linda L. Ryan, both formerly with Kotz Sangster Wysocki P.C., have joined the office as Partner and Of Counsel, respectively.

Mr. Ryan has practiced exclusively in the labor and employment area since 1987.  He has been rated AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale Hubbell and selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® for labor and employment.  Mr. Ryan is a frequent speaker and writer on topics including labor relations, hiring and firing, family and medical leave, wage and hour laws, and other issues related to labor and employment law for employers.  

Mr. Ryan earned his Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame and received his Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Aquinas College. Mr. Ryan is admitted to practice in all Michigan state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois; the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit; and the United States Supreme Court. 

Ms. Ryan also practices exclusively in the area of employment and labor law on behalf of employers, and has worked extensively with public sector and non-profit employers.  She received her Juris Doctorate, summa cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Grand Valley State University.  Prior to attending law school, Ms. Ryan was the Assistant Human Resources Director for a large non-profit organization.  She is a frequent speaker on employment-related issues.  Ms. Ryan is admitted to practice in all Michigan state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
