Jackson Lewis Reinforces Labor Relations Team with Addition of Alan M. Bayless Feldman

PHOENIX, (June 4, 2019) Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to announce Alan M. Bayless Feldman has joined the firm’s Phoenix office as a Principal. Mr. Bayless Feldman joins the firm from Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where he focused his practice on employment law and labor relations.

Spitz, Co-Leaders of the firm’s Labor and Preventive Practices Group. “His successful track record and focus on complex labor and employment issues across the country will further enhance the firm’s already robust labor relations practice. Our team has been laser-focused on helping clients navigate the often-complicated challenges of labor relations, and Alan’s national experience will add depth to the strategies and services we offer our clients.”

Mr. Bayless Feldman represents employers facing various labor relations issues and has in-depth experience defending employers before the NLRB and the National Mediation Board, and provides advice to employers facing union organization campaigns and managing those campaigns in accordance with the National Labor Relations Act and the Railway Labor Act. Mr. Bayless Feldman has experience training supervisors how to lawfully interact with employees and avoid unfair labor practice charges, creating union avoidance programs for employers to educate employees about union issues and improve morale, advising employers during union elections and post-election objection procedures, defending employers in representation and unfair labor practice proceedings, negotiating collective bargaining agreements and advising about contract administration. 

Mr. Bayless Feldman also advises and represents employers in a broad range of employment law matters, including workforce reduction planning, and counsels on trade secret protection, non-compete contracts, employee discipline, employee handbooks, and human resource policies. In his labor relations practice, Mr. Bayless Feldman has defended more than 200 unfair labor practice charges for multiple clients in every region of the National Labor Relations Board across the U.S. with the vast majority being withdrawn or dismissed, and defends employers against claims of harassment, and discrimination. 

Mr. Bayless Feldman earned his J.D. from Arizona State University and B.S. from the University of Arizona.
