Lena K. Kim
Lena K. Kim is an associate in the Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She focuses her practice on employment litigation, workplace training, and employment counseling.
Lena’s litigation practice includes defending employers against a wide range of legal issues, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, whistleblower matters, and wage and hour violations, as well as complex class and collective actions. Lena has experience litigating matters in both federal and state courts, as well as before administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights. She also handles enforcing employment agreements to arbitrate claims as well as arbitrations for employers.
In addition to litigation, Lena counsels employers on harassment prevention, workplace investigations, discipline and termination decisions, and policy development. Lena further advises employers on compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws, providing employers with preventative advice and counseling.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Lena represented and counseled school boards and other public entities on matters related to governance, labor and employment, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. She also clerked for the Honorable Lourdes I. Santiago (Ret.) in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Hudson Vicinage. While attending law school, she was an associate managing editor of the Rutgers University Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Board.
Lena is actively involved in the legal community and has served on the Board of Directors of the Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association of New Jersey and New Jersey Women Lawyers Association.
