Raja A. Hafed
Raja A. Hafed is an attorney in the Sacramento, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C., where she represents employers in a wide range of workplace law matters. Her practice includes defending employers in complex and high stakes wage and hour class actions and representative actions under the California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), as well as defending employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation.
Before joining Jackson Lewis, Raja practiced at a prominent West Coast civil litigation defense firm, where she represented clients in employment and labor disputes, personal injury cases, and real estate matters. She also gained experience at a boutique personal injury firm in the Sacramento region. Across these roles, Raja developed extensive litigation experience through all stages of the process, including court appearances, depositions, discovery, dispositive motions, and trial.
Raja’s interest in labor and employment law began long before her legal career, working alongside her father and siblings for more than 15 years in the family-owned restaurant business. That early experience gave her first-hand insight into the challenges employers face and continues to inform her practical and client-focused approach to advocacy.
While attending law school, Raja interned with the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office, where she second-chaired a felony vehicular manslaughter trial, further strengthening her litigation skills.
With a unique background that blends business experience and diverse litigation practice, Raja is committed to providing employers with comprehensive, strategic legal support to help them navigate complex litigation and achieve their business goals.
