Jennifer A. Misciagna
Jennifer A. Misciagna is of counsel in the Jacksonville, Florida, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. For 18 years as Associate Counsel for Department of Defense agencies, Jenny developed a mission-first mindset which she applies to her representation of and collaboration with employers to resolve workplace issues, allowing them the freedom to focus on advancing their core business goals and strategies.
Jenny has devoted her entire career to the practice of employment law and leverages her unique background and experience to address the needs of all types of business—whether industrial or white-collar, government or private sector. Jenny’s practice focuses on defending employers in litigation involving discrimination complaints, discipline, reasonable accommodations, sexual harassment, as well as traditional labor matters. Jenny also applies her insight to providing advice and counsel on discipline, investigations, accommodations, FMLA and policy reviews.
In her capacity as Associate Counsel, there were few workplace issues and matters that did not cross Jenny’s desk. She defended multiple Department of the Navy commands and the Army Corps of Engineers in administration litigation involving discrimination complaints, discipline, reasonable accommodations, sexual harassment, as well as in mediations and EEO investigations. She has also assisted the Department of Justice in pending federal litigation, advised on human resource issues such as discipline, investigations, reasonable accommodations, FMLA, labor issues and policy reviews, and served as the lead counsel for the commands in the reasonable accommodation procedure. This experience has led to a greater appreciation of what clients face and how best to serve their needs when developing strategy and prioritizing optimal outcomes.
In her free time, Jenny enjoys traveling with her husband and children, going to the beach and attending her children’s infinite sporting events.
