Jackson Lewis Welcomes Gavin Gray as Chief Operating Officer

NEW YORK, NY (April 9, 2026) — Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce it has named Gavin Gray as chief operating officer (COO). Gavin joins the firm from K&L Gates, where he served as COO, leading firmwide operations, business services and technology strategy.

In his new role, Gavin will oversee the firm’s business operations across all key functions, including technology, finance, human resources, marketing and business development, legal operations and administrative services. He will drive operational efficiency, enhance client service delivery and guide the firm’s technology strategy. His other responsibilities will include managing the firm’s real estate portfolio and facilities initiatives, and directing risk management, business continuity and emergency planning.

“Gavin’s arrival comes at the perfect time, right as we’re coming off another historic financial year. As we continue to execute on our growth strategy, having a strategic, collaborative leader with experience leading global law firms will be an invaluable asset,” said Firm Chair Kevin Lauri. “Our goal of becoming a billion-dollar firm is on the horizon, and Gavin’s experience will play a key role in achieving that milestone.”

Gavin brings more than 20 years of law firm management experience to the firm. Prior to joining K&L Gates, he served as North American regional operating officer at Baker McKenzie, where he led business services functions across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico and worked closely with firm leadership on global operational strategy. Earlier, he was chief information officer at Perkins Coie, where he led technology strategy and operations and was recognized as “CIO of the Year” by Law Technology News.

“We are so excited to welcome Gavin to the Jackson Lewis leadership team,” said Firm Managing Principal Samantha N. Hoffman. “He brings with him a stellar reputation for aligning people, processes and technology. This skill set uniquely positions him to help advance our OneJL vision — a commitment to operating as one team with one standard and delivering a consistent experience for our clients and our people across every office, practice and department.”

Throughout his career, Gavin has focused on driving organizational performance and leading change within complex law firm environments. He is active in the legal operations community, collaborating with industry groups, service providers and technology partners to advance innovation in the business of law.

“I’m excited to join Jackson Lewis and contribute to the firm’s continued growth,” said Gavin. “I look forward to working with teams across the firm to strengthen how we operate, enhance collaboration and deliver high-quality service to our clients.”
