Alexander C. Dorsey-Tarpley
Alexander C. Dorsey-Tarpley is an associate in the Baltimore, Maryland office of Jackson Lewis P.C. His practice focuses on representing employers in labor and employment matters, including traditional labor issues and preventative advice and counseling.
Alexander discovered his interest in labor relations while serving as a business-affairs legal clerk for a global talent agency in New York City and competing in professional-sports negotiation competitions while in law school. During this time, he externed as a law clerk at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia.
Inspired by his upbringing in the Baltimore-D.C. metropolitan area, Alexander gained experience advising clients while working as a student attorney for the Small Business and Community Economic Development Clinic, where he provided counsel to local business owners on workplace and corporate regulatory compliance in the District of Columbia.
He served as a member of the Federal Communications Bar Journal and was elected as the Vice President of the Entertainment and Sports Law Association, where he authored his first legal blog article on Name, Image, & Likeness (N.I.L) and the evolution of college athletics.
Outside of work, Alexander enjoys fitness, stand-up comedy, experimenting with new recipes, and following college and professional sports.
