Alexander Cranford headshot

Alexander (“Alex”) Cranford is an associate in the Baltimore office of Jackson Lewis P.C., where he advises employers in all employment matters, with a focus on defending employers in all aspects of workplace litigation, including wrongful termination, retaliatory discharge, discrimination and harassment based on race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin, and disability.

Alex possesses significant experience defending administrative claims as well as those brought in state and federal Court involving the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII, Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and the Maryland Wage Payment and Collection Act.  Alex enjoys helping employers navigate the complexities of litigation at each stage including motions practice, discovery and trial.  Beyond litigation, Alex provides advice and counsel to employers so that they can establish, and implement, employment policies and procedures that insulate the employer from potential liability or avoid litigation all together.

Prior to working for Jackson Lewis, Alex spent three years as an associate at a regional law firm in Maryland where he defended employment and legal malpractice claims. Prior to that, Alex clerked for the Civil Magistrates’ Office in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.
