Catalina Cadavid

Biography

Catalina Cadavid is an associate in the New York City, New York, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling.

Catalina has experience handling wage and hour matters, including class and collective actions, as well as employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims.

Born in Cali, Colombia, Catalina is fluent in Spanish and has experience counseling Spanish-speaking clients on employment matters. Before law school, she was a litigation paralegal at an international law firm, where she regularly interpreted for Spanish-speaking clients.

While attending law school, Catalina sought opportunities to get out of the classroom and get hands-on litigation experience. As part of the Family Advocacy Clinic at Fordham, Catalina represented parents of special needs students in administrative proceedings against the New York City Department of Education. She received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award, summa cum laude, for completing over 1,000 hours of pro bono work during law school. Catalina was also a member of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media, and Entertainment Law Journal.
