Deirdre Mullane
Deirdre Mullane is an associate in the Orlando, Florida, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Deirdre believes in creating lawyer-client relationships that develop into true partnerships, which allows her to advocate and bear the burden for employers involved in an employer-employee dispute. If anyone loses sleep during a litigation, Deirdre wants it to be her.
Having gained invaluable past experience as a law clerk working with veteran employment lawyers and representing employee-plaintiffs, Deirdre made a conscious decision to leverage her experience on the “other side of the V” to represent employers in order to minimize disruptions and create a stable workplace. To that end, she provides training, as well as advice and counsel, to ensure employers meet compliance obligations with federal, state, and local laws. Deirdre conducts targeted investigations that quickly pinpoint and get to the heart of an employee's claims, discovering key facts and evidence as early as the pre-suit stage. Deirdre’s advantage is her ability to answer the question: “What would I request in discovery if I were this employee’s attorney?” Equally advantageous is her heightened understanding of human behavior derived from her time spent in the field of social work and education. Being proactively prepared based on insights into how people may react in each situation leads Deirdre to develop more robust litigation strategies for employers. Creating stability and minimizing risk requires insights into both the workplace and the workforce.
Deirdre is a San Diego native, but has lived in San Francisco, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. She thinks Lou Malnati's is better than Giordano’s but ultimately prefers tavern style over Chicago deep dish. Deirdre enjoys reading, running, and cheering on the San Francisco 49ers.
