Emely Garcia is an associate in the Denver, Colorado, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling.

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Emely was a fellow at the Office the Colorado Attorney General where she worked on issues involving civil rights, employment, workers’ compensation, public utilities, and marijuana law. During law school, Emely was a student-attorney in the University of Colorado’s Criminal and Immigration Clinic where she assisted clients with employment-based immigration matters and helped a client secure asylum. She gained an interested in employment law during her internship for U.S. Magistrate Judge Kristen L. Mix at the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, where she drafted an order involving a Fair Labor Standards Act class action.
