Biography
Emily J. Gelhaus is a principal in the Cincinnati, Ohio, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Emily is office litigation manager of the Cincinnati and Dayton offices. She has more than 17 years’ experience handling employment matters in state and federal courts and various administrative agencies.
Emily advises and represents public and private employers in a broad range of employment law matters, including those involving discrimination and harassment, wage and hour, workers’ compensation, wrongful termination, and retaliation claims. She also advises and trains managers and supervisors on preventive litigation practices, focusing on how to comply with applicable laws and regulations, avoid workplace disputes, resolve employee relations problems, and satisfy legitimate employee expectations.
Emily’s practice also involves traditional labor law. She has experience with negotiations, labor arbitrations, and other labor proceedings.
While in law school, Emily was a member of the University of Cincinnati Law Review.
