Emily R. Rodriguez is an associate in the Jacksonville, Florida, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. where her practice focuses on employment litigation, representing employers in all stages of litigation in both state and federal courts. Emily is committed to partnering with clients to provide practical, business-focused solutions and values clear communication and proactive strategies to help organizations manage risk effectively.

Before joining the firm, Emily was an associate at a law firm that served as general counsel to charter and private schools across the state of Florida. In that role, she advised educational institutions on many matters, including governance, employment issues, contract disputes, and compliance. While assisting school clients with workplace compliance and employment-related issues, Emily discovered her passion for employment law. That experience gave her insight into the challenges employers face and the importance of aligning legal guidance with organizational goals, a perspective she now brings to her work with employers across industries.

Emily earned her J.D. from Florida State University College of Law, where she served on the Executive Board of the Federalist Society and worked as a Teaching Assistant for a course on Regulatory Compliance. She externed in the chambers of Chief Justice Carlos Muñiz at the Florida Supreme Court and with the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General Corps. Additionally, throughout law school Emily served as a law clerk at several law firms. Prior to law school, Emily graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. in Political Science and worked in legislative advocacy and campaign management.

Emily met her husband, Chase, while attending the University of Florida; he now serves in the U.S. Navy as a Flight Officer. Together, they enjoy cooking, fitness, and spending time with their son, David, and their two dogs, Barbara and Franklin.
