Jacqueline M. Brown
Jacqueline (Jackie) Brown is an associate in the Chicago, Illinois, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. With a focus on employment litigation and internal investigations, Jacqueline collaborates with HR and leadership teams to provide clear, actionable guidance aimed at minimizing risk and achieving effective resolutions to workplace issues.
Jacqueline’s litigation experience includes defending employers against claims arising under various state and federal employment laws, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims under Title VII, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and related Illinois and City of Chicago statutes.
In addition to her litigation and investigations work, Jacqueline provides day to day counseling on workplace compliance and wage and hour issues. She advises on accommodations and protected leaves, drafts and reviews employment and separation agreements, develops compliant and business aligned workplace policies, and supports employers through organizational changes.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Jacqueline completed a legal fellowship in the Duke University Office of Counsel, where she supported both the University and Duke University Health System. In that role, she advised institutional clients on labor and employment matters, student affairs, internal investigations, and regulatory compliance.
While in law school, Jackie competed on the ABA Client Counseling Team and contributed to the Journal of Regulatory Compliance. She also served as a student clinician in the Civitas Child Law Clinic, advocating for minors in child welfare and high conflict domestic relations proceedings in Cook County courts.
