Jeffrey S. Wilson
Jeffrey “Jeff” Wilson is of counsel in the Atlanta, Georgia, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Jeff’s thoughtful approach includes active listening to formulate an optimal business-first litigation strategy, positioning employers to avoid conflict whenever possible—or when litigation becomes inevitable—bringing expeditious resolutions that achieve favorable results.
Having served as both a supervisory attorney at the Social Security Administration and a management-side employment advisor and litigator, Jeff’s strategic arsenal is stocked with defenses to claims of all types and various degrees of legal viability making him able to quickly identify the vulnerability of opposing arguments and craft creative solutions to decrease risk and maximize early and practical resolutions that best meet employers legal concerns and organizational goals.
A trusted advisor and skilled litigator, Jeff’s practice includes defending employers against claims of harassment, discrimination based on race, sex, color, national origin, disability, and age, as well as retaliation for matters such as filing complaints, requesting accommodations, and whistleblowing. He also has experience providing wage and hour advice and litigation defense. While working at the Social Security Administration, Jeff managed multiple staff members, including those represented by a union. Jeff leverages this firsthand experience in management and the insights he gained in that role to inform a better understanding of the employer-employee relationship to benefit the employers he represents.
As a member of the University of Florida’s Trial Team, Jeff earned the distinction of being a top two advocate. While in law school, he devoted hundreds of hours working pro bono at a local legal aid clinic, and he draws on that experience when interacting with his clients, ensuring they receive his undivided attention. In his free time, you'll find Jeff lounging by a pool or beach when the weather is nice, spending time with family, and enjoying the company of his retired racing Greyhound.
