Karen Luh

Karen Luh is of counsel in the Los Angeles, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Karen represents employers in workplace law matters. Karen strives for a holistic understanding of both short- and long-term solutions for clients, with continued analysis of risk and exposure and how to manage through proactive policies.

Karen has handled defense-side litigation for employers for more than a decade. She assists clients in positioning claims for pre-trial disposition, such as summary judgment or achieving leverage for cost-effective, early settlements. Karen’s goals include understanding the unique circumstances of clients and claimants alike in order to drill down on the best way to effectively resolve a dispute. With knowledge of employer-side operations obtained through the litigation process and providing advice and counsel, Karen prioritizes a client’s business needs while finding solutions for fostering sustainable workplace culture.

Karen also partners with clients for aggressive litigation strategies, and how to judiciously employ the discovery process for trial. She guides clients through each phase of a conflict, from pre-litigation claims through trial and appeals.

Karen handles every level of FEHA-based claims, class action lawsuits, and PAGA cases. Before joining Jackson Lewis, Karen was a partner in a national full-service firm, helping lead its California labor and employment practice.
