Porter S. Young is an associate in the Washington, D.C. Region office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Porter represents employers in immigration matters and is known by colleagues and peers for his positive attitude and outstanding work ethic.

Whether assisting employers in obtaining employment-based visas for foreign employees or immigrant visa petitions, Porter works diligently to meet his clients’ needs.

An immigrant himself, Porter served as a student-attorney in the Immigration Clinical Program while in law school, helping others navigate the complexities of immigration laws and processes with the insight that comes from personal experience. As a practicing immigration attorney his goal remains constant: provide clients with straightforward, reasoned advice, regardless of the complexity of the issue involved.

Before joining the firm, Porter served in the Republic of China (Taiwan) Army. Porter also participated in the firm’s Summer Clerk Program and spent a full year working as the Nonpartisan Law Clerk with a U.S. Senate Committee. Porter was the Student Speaker for both of his college and law school’s university-wide commencements.
