Biography
Suzana (“Susan”) I. Sinatra is of counsel in the San Diego, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on representing employers in administrative and court litigation of claims for employment discrimination and retaliation, violations of FMLA and other leave laws, wage and hour claims, wrongful termination, and other employment-related matters.
Susan’s practice also includes providing advice and counsel to clients about offer letters and employment agreements, internal investigations, compliance with employment laws, reasonable accommodations, policy development, employee handbooks, disciplinary issues, and employee separation. With her in-depth knowledge of state and federal employment laws, she strives to help clients minimize risk and prevent matters from reaching litigation.
During law school, Susan served as the Articles Editor for the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law. She was also accepted into Tulane’s prestigious Civil Rights Clinic, where she was sworn into practice law under Louisiana’s student-practice rule. During her 3L year, she began her litigation career by conducting a successful trial involving police misconduct. She has continued her litigation skills throughout her career by preparing for and conducting multiple trials, including a four- and six-week long trial.
