Jackson Lewis Achieves 2022-2023 Mansfield Certification

NEW YORK, NY (October 12, 2023) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce the firm has achieved Diversity Lab’s 2022-2023 Mansfield 6.0 Plus Certification, the highest law firm designation, for the fourth consecutive year. The Mansfield Rule is a structured certification process designed to ensure all talent at participating law firms has a fair and equal opportunity to advance into leadership. Mansfield is focused on broadening the talent pool for consideration, including those historically underrepresented in the legal profession, to facilitate transparent pathways to leadership.

“Earning Mansfield 6.0 Plus Certification reinforces our long-standing commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, not only at Jackson Lewis, but within the legal industry as a whole,” said Firm Chair Kevin G. Lauri. “Achieving this Certification year after year signifies that we are meeting the needs of our people and our clients, and I am so proud of what we have accomplished thus far. We will continue to be intentional and strategic about creating a workplace that allows all our people to thrive.”

Mansfield’s methodology is rooted in changes to systems and processes designed to promote inclusion. Mansfield’s certification process helps firms ensure that opportunities for advancement are inclusive by broadening talent pools to ensure all qualified talent is being considered for leadership opportunities. As part of the Certification process, the firm has worked hard to enhance transparency related to leadership roles, advancement processes and compensation policies.

“Since implementing the Mansfield Rule four years ago, we have made significant strides in making our advancement processes more open and transparent,” said Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer and Principal Kimya S.P. Johnson. “We know our commitment to equity and inclusion is an ongoing effort and there is always more work that can be done. We are grateful for organizations like Diversity Lab that focus on how we communicate opportunities for attorneys to be considered for leadership and governance roles – and, in so doing, better ensure that no one is left behind.”
