Jackson Lewis Named Law Firm Volunteer of the Year by Pro Bono Partnership of Ohio

CINCINNATI, OH (April 10, 2024) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce that the firm has been named the 2023 Law Firm Volunteer of the Year by Pro Bono Partnership of Ohio (PBPO) for its dedication to making a positive impact on the Cincinnati and Dayton communities. The firm was recently honored at PBPO’s Volunteer and Donor Appreciation Celebration at the Fifth Third Bank Atrium on Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati.

“It is a privilege to work with Pro Bono Partnership of Ohio,” said Cincinnati and Dayton Office Managing Principal Patricia Anderson Pryor. “At Jackson Lewis, we hold a fundamental belief that as legal professionals, we bear a civic responsibility to assist those within the communities we serve. Partnering with PBPO enables us to actively uphold these principles, and we are truly appreciative of the work that the organization does for the greater Cincinnati and Dayton areas.”

Since the organization’s founding in 2015, Jackson Lewis has supported PBPO through attorney volunteer involvement and financial contributions. Over the years, 21 Ohio-based attorneys have volunteered on 38 legal projects, authored six legal news articles and helped facilitate 23 seminars for PBPO’s clients. In addition, Jackson Lewis attorneys have served on both PBPO Board of Directors and on Grow PBPO, an advisory council formed to support PBPO's mission to strengthen the community through engagement, resource building, and service enhancement.

“We are deeply humbled to have been selected for this award,” said Tara K. Burke, Jackson Lewis attorney and current Grow PBPO board member. “We are grateful to PBPO for providing nonprofits with the opportunity to actively and uniquely better our communities. I am proud to be part of a firm that understands the impact of these organizations and the importance of our supporting them.”

PBPO’s mission is to strengthen its community by providing free business legal services and education to nonprofits. The organization matches eligible nonprofits with volunteer attorneys from leading corporations and law firms in Cincinnati and Dayton.
