JACKSONVILLE, FL (April 11, 2023) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce William R. Moseley has assumed Chairmanship of the Legal Affairs Committee and will become a Board Member of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA). Bill was previously elected Vice Chair/Chair elect of the committee. In these roles, he will lead and coordinate Committee discussions on litigation, regulatory and other legal issues affecting transit authorities. Bill, who has been involved with the Association for more than 20 years, concludes his term in April 2025.

Bill is a principal in the firm’s Jacksonville and Atlanta offices. His practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counsel, collective bargaining and corporate governance. Bill frequently represents clients in the public sector in the transportation industry and currently serves as general counsel, counsel, and/or labor and employment counsel to numerous public transportation authorities across the United States and Canada.

Bill previously served on the Board from 2000-2002 as Chairman of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. He currently serves on the APTA Emerging Leaders Program Committee which selects 35 individuals annually to participate in an APTA sponsored leadership program. Additionally, Bill serves on the APTA Foundation’s Board of Directors, a separate but affiliated 501(c)3 based in Washington, D.C., that awards more than $300,000 in scholarships annually to college students studying in the public transportation field.
