Firm Chair Kevin Lauri leads the strategy and growth of Jackson Lewis. His priorities reflect two commitments that have shaped his more than 30 years with the firm: creating an environment where exceptional lawyers can build meaningful careers and delivering consistently outstanding service across every client relationship.

Kevin views the firm’s people and culture as central to both commitments. He is focused on attracting, developing and retaining lawyers who share Jackson Lewis’ dedication to collaboration, excellence and client service. As the firm has grown, he has worked to preserve a culture in which colleagues invest in one another, share relationships and experience across offices and practices, and come together around the needs of clients.

A central priority of Kevin’s leadership is ensuring that clients experience Jackson Lewis as one firm, with consistent quality, responsiveness and practical judgment regardless of the lawyer, office or practice involved. He believes the firm is at its best when clients have seamless access to its full capabilities and every member of the team understands the client’s business and objectives.

Before becoming Chair, Kevin served as primary relationship partner to several Fortune 100 companies, including IBM and Pfizer, and other leading global employers in the technology, financial services, pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. Coordinating their representation across the country gave him firsthand insight into what sophisticated organizations expect from outside counsel: an understanding of their business, anticipation of their needs and the ability to operate as an extension of their team. That experience continues to inform his approach to firm strategy and client service.

Kevin joined Jackson Lewis in 1995 and has held significant leadership roles across the firm for more than two decades. His leadership experience includes service on the firm’s Finance Committee and, since 2011, its Board of Directors. In 2009, he was elected Office Managing Principal of the New York City office, a position he held for ten years. He was elected Firm Chair in 2020 and re-elected by the firm’s principals in 2024.

Throughout those roles, Kevin has worked to strengthen the firm while preserving the collaborative culture that has long distinguished Jackson Lewis. During his tenure on the Board, the firm expanded its client service initiative and formalized its Client Service Standards, reinforcing the expectation that everyone at Jackson Lewis shares responsibility for delivering responsive, practical and high-quality service tailored to each client’s legal and business needs.

Before focusing primarily on firm leadership, Kevin maintained an extensive employment litigation and counseling practice. He represented employers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour claims, restrictive covenants, trade secrets and other employment-related disputes. His practice included individual and multi-plaintiff matters, as well as collective and class actions.

Kevin is now leading the firm’s preparation for the next era of workplace law. His priorities include investing in talent and professional development; using legal operations, technology and artificial intelligence to strengthen service delivery; expanding strategically in markets and capabilities important to clients; and creating opportunities for the next generation of Jackson Lewis leaders.
