NEW YORK, NY (December 9, 2019) Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to announce that Andrew Charwat has joined the firm as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Charwat has more than 30 years of finance and accounting experience, and will provide leadership, direction and management of the firm’s finance and accounting team.
“Our goal for this role was to retain a talented individual who uses their technical expertise, critical thinking skills, and leadership influence to drive performance and implement real change within the firm,” said Firm Co-Chairs Kevin G. Lauri and William J. Anthony. “Andrew will work with our clients and attorneys to develop pricing and financial strategies to meet changing client expectations and streamline the direction and management of the finance and accounting teams to allow the firm to continue our commitment to providing best-in-class representation and effective resolutions for our clients.”
Mr. Charwat has experience in developing successful and innovative financial strategies and achieving financial targets for businesses. He has led cross functional teams and managed financial, operational and corporate functions designed to increase value offerings to clients. Most recently, Mr. Charwat served as the Senior Vice President of Finance for Ditech Holding Corp., an independent originator of mortgage loans.
Mr. Charwat earned his MBA from Columbia Business School and his B.A. from Haverford College.
Mr. Charwat’s arrival at Jackson Lewis closely follows the addition of Patrick DiDomenico in the newly created role of Chief Innovation Officer. As the firm continues to rapidly expand, these new hires will support and enhance Jackson Lewis’ client service. Mr. DiDomenico is a thought leader in knowledge management for law firms and has extensive experience developing, implementing, and executing knowledge management programs. Mr. DiDomenico was Chief Knowledge Officer of Ogletree Deakins prior to joining Jackson Lewis.
