Jackson Lewis Earns "Tipping the Scales Award" for Percentage of Women Partners

NEW YORK, NY (November 13, 2019) Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to announce the firm has been recognized for “Tipping the Scales,” as part of the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance’s 2019 New Partner Report. The firm was acknowledged for having 50% or more women in its 2019 partner class. Jackson Lewis was recently honored at the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance’s Inspire. Innovate. Ignite! Annual Conference in Washington, DC. This is the first time the firm has been selected for the award since its inception in 2012.

“We are thrilled to be recognized for the first time in firm history for ‘Tipping the Scales’,” said Firm Co-Chairs William J. Anthony and Kevin G. Lauri. “The firm continuously works to identify and address any gaps in gender diversity. This award is a testament to the progress we have made and our commitment to retaining and advancing women lawyers. We are proud of what the firm has accomplished thus far, and we hope to continue to build on our progress in years to come.”

The Diversity & Flexibility Alliance’s 2019 New Partner Report is a yearly compilation and examination of data from more than 100 of the nation’s largest and top-grossing law firms about the attorneys promoted to partnership in U.S. offices. The Alliance has generated this report since 2012, and the report aims to uncover trends related to the percentages of women promoted to partnership each year.
