Jackson Lewis Receives 2022 President’s Award From American Association for Access, Equity And Diversity

NEW YORK, NY (October 18, 2022) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce the American Association for Access, Equity and Diversity (AAAED) has named the firm a 2022 President’s Award honoree. The award was presented to the firm virtually on October 13 during AAAED’s 48th National Conference and Awards Ceremony.

“We are thrilled to be recognized for the President’s Award,” said Matthew J. Camardella, co-leader of the firm’s Affirmative Action, OFCCP and Government Contract Compliance group. “I would like to thank Firm Chair Kevin G. Lauri and Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer and Principal Kimya S.P. Johnson for continuing to invest in our partnership with AAAED and its mission to promote and protect policies that ensure equity and inclusion in all spheres of opportunity.”

Each year, the AAAED presents the President’s Award to recognize individuals and organizations for their leadership and commitment to AAAED and its mission of access, equity and diversity. Jackson Lewis has long supported AAAED and its mission. The firm’s Affirmative Action Compliance and OFCCP Defense group works with clients and partners alike to reimagine the future of the employer-employee relationship while continuing to offer comprehensive and practical solutions to affirmative action compliance. This past year, Jackson Lewis has served AAAED in a variety of ways. This includes: providing faculty for AAAED’s Professional Development Training Institute (PDTI) and participating on the AAAED Amicus Brief Team, which submitted a brief in the Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. President and Fellows of Harvard College and Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. University of North Carolina cases before the US Supreme Court. A member of the firm also served as counsel to the AAAED Board of Directors.

Founded in 1974, the AAAED is a national civil rights organization of professionals who engage in the important work of leading, directing and managing affirmative action, equal opportunity, and diversity programs. AAAED is an active advocate for affirmative action and other equal opportunity laws to enhance the tenants of access, inclusion and equality in employment, economic and educational opportunities.
