BALTIMORE, MD (July 15, 2025) – Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce that Kathleen A. McGinley has been elevated to office managing principal in Baltimore. She will also continue her role as office litigation manager.
“Kathy brings a powerful combination of leadership, legal skill and dedication to client service,” said Firm Chair Kevin Lauri. “Her ability to mentor our teams and drive strategic growth will continue to strengthen our presence in Baltimore and deliver exceptional value to our clients.”
Kathy is an experienced litigator, representing employers in a wide variety of employment law matters. She routinely defends employers in state and federal courts, in arbitration and before administrative agencies against claims involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination and retaliation, wage and hour violations and employment-related torts, including invasion of privacy and defamation.
In addition to her litigation work, Kathy also maintains an active advice and counsel practice. She conducts customized in-house seminars and training for managers, supervisors and employees on topics including harassment, discrimination and retaliation and effective communication in the workplace. Kathy collaborates with employers to develop policies, processes and handbooks tailored for multi-state operations and provides strategic day-to-day guidance on complex workforce decisions, including high-risk terminations, group separations and responding to disability accommodations.
“As employment law continues to evolve, with frequent changes at state and local levels nationally, and our clients navigate new and complex challenges, I’m honored to lead our Baltimore office in guiding them through these changes,” said Kathy. “We’re committed to delivering top-tier guidance that anticipates risks and empowers clients to face today’s shifting landscape with confidence and resilience.”
Kathy is also an active member of pro bono and professional service organizations. She previously served as a board member of the Creative Alliance, a nonprofit that supports local artists and community engagement through the arts, and of the Homeless Persons Representation Project, an organization dedicated to providing legal services to individuals experiencing homelessness. Additionally, she is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
Kathy earned her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law, her MBA from the University of Baltimore and Towson University and her B.A. from Pennsylvania State University.
