Javas A. Smith is an associate in the St. Louis, Missouri, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. His practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including defending employers against claims of wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination and retaliation. Javas strongly believes in a healthy workplace environment by actively working with employers to prevent disputes. 

Javas has experience working at a large corporation dealing with labor and employment litigation matters. He worked on cases in several different jurisdictions around the country, including the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and Los Angeles Superior Court. Javas used that experience to further enhance his knowledge in how labor and employment litigation matters are applied in other state and federal courts in order to become a better litigator. That experience also gave Javas a unique perspective as an in-house lawyer of how to best serve clients.
