Joseph Anci is of counsel in the New York City, New York, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. His practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including trial practice, arbitration, and preventive advice and counseling.

Joe concentrates his practice on employment-related litigation, trial advocacy before federal and state courts and administrative agencies, and counseling. Joe is an experienced trial attorney and has served as lead counsel for trials, hearings and arbitration involving claims arising under Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, the Rehabilitation Act, Title VI, the Equal Protection Clause, the Due Process Clause, the First Amendment, 42 U.S.C. § 1983, as well as the New York State and New York City Human Rights Laws. Joe maximizes this trial experience to inform his litigation and counseling practices in order to best advise clients on minimizing the possibility of litigation, strengthening client positions when faced with litigation, and evaluating potential liability.

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Joe was a supervisor and senior counsel with the Labor and Employment Law Division of the New York City Law Department. While at the Law Department, Joe was an active member of the division’s trial team, serving as lead trial counsel in a broad range of employment matters, including discrimination, retaliation, hostile work environment and constructive discharge claims brought under federal, state and local laws.
