
Krystal R. Caputo
Krystal R. Caputo is an associate in the Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on employment litigation, and workplace investigations.
Krystal’s litigation practice includes the representation of employers in wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation matters brought under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, the New Jersey Conscientious Employee Protection Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, as well as other applicable state and federal laws. Krystal represents clients in both federal and state courts, as well as administrative agencies, including the Equal Opportunity Commission and the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Krystal represented large corporate entities in complex commercial litigation and professional liability matters. She also gained invaluable experience as a law clerk to the Honorable Kevin M. Shanahan, A.J.S.C. in Somerset County, New Jersey. This background provides her with a holistic prospective of legal issues, enabling her to participate in opposing arguments and develop successful defense strategies.
During law school, Krystal completed a judicial internship with the Honorable William J. McGovern, J.S.C. (ret.) in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Morris County, as well as a judicial externship with the Honorable Maryann C. O’Brien, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Burlington County. Krystal was a student attorney with the Delaware Civil Law Clinic where she represented indigent clients in various family-related matters.
