Michele A. Cattano is an associate in the Long Island, New York, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling, as well as the litigation of employment disputes.

Michele has represented employers in cases involving discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, as well as federal and state wage and hour laws. Her practice includes the defense of single and multi-plaintiff cases. Michele litigates in state and federal courts and has appeared in arbitrations and administrative proceedings before the New York State Division of Human Rights, the New York City Commission on Human Rights, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, and the American Arbitration Association.

Growing up in a family business, Michele has experienced first-hand the commitment it takes to run a business and understands that the work does not stop while an administrative charge or lawsuit is pending. During law school, Michele was a notes editor for the Hofstra Law Review and served as a Moot Court Board staff member. She also completed an externship with a Magistrate Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
